Glass Treatments

A Stoner Car Care auto glass treatment is a specialized formula applied to exterior automotive glass to dramatically improve optical clarity and shed water. Our treatments bond directly to the glass to create a slick hydrophobic coating that forces water droplets into tight beads that roll away as you drive. This reduces your reliance on windshield wipers, keeps clean glass clearer between washes, and provides better visibility in heavy rain and adverse weather conditions. Learn more in our guide on how to protect your windshield.

Proper surface preparation ensures your windshield coating bonds directly to the vehicle's glass. Strip away bugs, tree sap, and road film around the glass surface and ceramic frit using Invisible Glass Glass Stripper or Tarminator. Finish with a clean microfiber cloth instead of paper towels, and avoid direct sunlight or low-temperature conditions during application.

A spray repellent like Invisible Glass Clean & Repel combines everyday cleaning with a water-shedding protective layer for fast maintenance. A dedicated Invisible Glass Ceramic Glass Coating or silicone windshield coating chemically bonds to exterior glass for long-term protection. This resilient layer shields against wiper abrasion while actively preventing chemical etching from bird droppings, road salt, and harsh weather conditions.

Exterior glass treatments belong strictly on the outside of your vehicle. Applying a hydrophobic barrier inside the cabin creates heavy interior haze, glare, and smearing under headlights or direct sunlight. For all interior car windows, stick to an ammonia-free glass cleaner and the Invisible Glass Reach & Clean Tool for a streak-free finish, and check our tips on how to clean the inside of a windshield.

Maintaining a coated windshield simply requires washing away surface dust and grime using a pH-balanced car wash soap. Avoid abrasive compounds or harsh degreasers that can degrade the protective layer prematurely. For quick touch-ups between washes, use a streak-free, ammonia-free formula like Invisible Glass Cleaner and a clean microfiber cloth to restore clarity without stripping the coating.
